Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, like Planet 21 Job Description The Marketing Manager will be responsible for various aspects of the resort's print, digital and social presence including but not limited to revenue generation programs via print and online advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, in-house newsletters and collateral, partner marketing, and website optimization.
The individual will work closely with the E-Commerce/Digital Marketing Manager to implement tactical strategies regarding online revenue generation opportunities for the resort.
Position is based on-site.
Other responsibilities include working with Director of Marketing & Public Relations and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to implement campaigns and manage objectives including but not limited to asset/content creation and brand initiatives.
MARKETING / CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT Manage the execution of day to day projects and external agency partner projects including:
Audio/Video/Photo Production Graphic Design Agency Social Media Agency Collateral Printing Companies Execute paid media/advertising plan for local and national placements Content creation and management across multiple online platforms including Fairmont.

com Draft and edit advertising copy, radio spots and marketing materials including (but not limited to) marketing posters/banners, resort collateral, in-house guest newsletters/e-blasts, brochures, transient marketing materials, sales brochures, rack cards, e-invitations, print ads, web banners Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations, Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of F&B, Spa and Cultural departments in development and execution of marketing strategies and plans to generate revenue growth Serve as resort expert, along with DOMP, to ensure that Fairmont brand image and marketing guidelines and standards are upheld reviewing all in-house and external print and digital materials as well as all creative developed by third party vendors including but not limited to:
Signage, specialty menus and collateral produced by outside vendors/partners Resort, Spa and/or F&B collateral (print and digital) Promotional listings/e-blasts for OTAs (online travel agents) Local and National Publication ad placements Work with Fairmont Corporate to stay updated on all brand internet marketing campaigns, toolkits and standards.
Participate in Corporate online marketing call and report back to team SOCIAL MEDIA Develop and execute strategic social media campaigns, engaging followers/fans on all of the resort social media channels Responsible for oversight of social content creation, engagement and channel management.
Implement social media content and advertising strategy on behalf of Fairmont Kea Lani and various venues of the resort.
Develop, review and post social media content including image and video conceptualization and caption copywriting.
Collaborate with DOMP and social media agency to develop monthly social media plan and content calendar.
Monitor and manage activity and engagement on social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, while developing appropriate and timely responses.
Represent hotel by attending social and culinary events, onsite and/or offsite, to capture social media content where appropriate (evenings and weekends may be required) Proactively identify opportunities to grow the company's social media channels Track, analyze and report monthly on social media activity Proactively build, develop, maintain and manage strong working relationships with various internal departments, corporate sponsors and tourism partners Interact with like brands and events to increase the hotel's social reach GRAPHIC DESIGN (Preferred, not required) Create, design, and produce visual assets such as, but not limited to In-house collateral (ex; menus, invitations, newsletters) Printed brochures, fliers, cards, and branded materials Digital display banners, e-blasts and promotional online content Presentations and content for our client partnerships (i.
e.
Wholesale, Consortia) HTML5 display advertisements Print advertisements Learn and apply the unique characteristics of each outlet within the hotel in order to produce effective marketing and visual materials Design within Fairmont brand guidelines to ensure designs are brand compliant E-COMMERCE (Preferred, not required) Manage digital marketing (supplemental, search, display) campaigns, alongside external agency partners Manage seasonal digital corporate campaigns and build associated campaign tracking links Develop direct and semi-direct online marketing channels to check and improve the internet presence of Fairmont Kea Lani Provide recommendations and implement improvements to website strategy Direct day to day website management, recommendations for improvement for responsive design, implementation of enhancements, and achieving website revenue goals, and website KPIs Understand and map the consumer journey to optimize opportunities that help increase booking, engagement, and meet conversion and revenue goals Optimize SEO/SEM for the property vanity sites Other:
Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as to have a complete understanding of emergency procedures Follow hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards Contribute to the improvement of the operation by contributing ideas, making suggestions and actively participate in departmental communication meetings Actively participate and promote the Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui's environmental program and department specific initiatives in working towards sustainable operations Qualifications Your experience and skills include:
Previous experience in at least one area of Marketing, Public Relations and/or Social Media required Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a keen focus on attention to detail and follow-up Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally Must possess basic computational ability Must have a proven portfolio of Marketing/Communications work Proficient in Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative programs Must possess a skillful knowledge of applicable Graphic Design software Knowledge of search engine optimization Your team and working environment:
Work alongside and lead a team consisting of one (1) director and one (1) assistant.
