Keani Hawai'i is a locally-owned, modern, tropical, luxury boutique with multiple locations here on the island of Maui.
We are looking for a MAUI-BASED Retail Area Manager to oversee and equip our teams at our Whaler's Village and Pa'ia locations, and be a part of launching our upcoming Wailea (and Oahu) location(s).

As an Area Retail Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the performance of multiple retail stores on the island of Maui and within the state of Hawai'i.
You will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and integrity while promoting shared success and ensuring a fun and positive work environment.

Key
Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Development:
Lead a structured approach to HR that integrates career growth, training opportunities, and employee engagement.
Oversee HR Operations by implementing and managing comprehensive HR systems to streamline employee/contractor onboarding and development processes.
Develop and enhance operational efficiencies within HR, focusing on creating robust training/development that foster a positive workplace culture and support employee professional growth.
Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to ensure alignment of HR strategies with organizational goals.
Oversee employee growth and development plans, fostering a culture of empowerment and self-sufficiency.
Improving Overall Guest
Experience:
Communicate with all applicable leadership heads to improve the guest experience and develop communication cycles to maximize revenue and client loyalty Foster strong systems for client fulfillment and operations across Sales and Customer Success.
Spearhead strategies to enhance both external guest experiences and internal employee growth.
Standardize operational procedures for consistency and excellence in guest interactions.
Oversee the complete external and internal guest experience framework.
Operational Efficiency:
Play a critical role in formulating a successful operational blueprint across the company's operational strategy for overall guest experience, fulfillment, and success.
Provide management to each of the store leadership teams and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company's business plan and overall strategic vision.
Responsible for cadence and structure of weekly all-company meetings, weekly leadership meeting, quarterly leadership meeting and annual planning.
Plan, direct and oversee implementation of all of the company's customer-facing operations and communication.
Attend and organize meetings relevant to owned projects, ensuring all attendees are well prepared and able to leave with action items; All meetings should be prepped ahead of time so the team is always discussing problems and solutions, not reviewing data.
Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation (budget, timeline, resources, etc.
) Work closely with the CEO to determine any departments creating bottlenecks and then aggressively shadow departments to assess core issues and work with department heads to implement solutions (cadences, resources, communication, processes, etc.
) Work closely with department heads to create, implement and roll out plans for operational processes, internal infrastructures, reporting systems and company policies all designed to foster growth, profitably and efficiencies within the company.
Work closely with the Finance and Legal heads to ensure proper legal and financial systems are in place to support growth and the protection of the business.
Work closely with the CEO to set challenging and realistic targets and metrics for growth, performance and profitability for the company within all departments.
Educate and mentor departmental heads on operational best practices.
Prioritize initiatives that drive sales, customer success, employee development, and operational enhancements.
Support the CEOs to solve the company's needs in any additional ways requested.
Team Collaboration:
Foster a team-oriented culture where collaboration is fundamental to achieving collective success.
Cultivate and support A-Players within the store teams, recognizing and utilizing their diverse strengths.
Performance Management:
Set performance expectations and KPIs for individual stores, regularly reviewing and addressing areas for improvement.
Provide coaching and support to store managers to achieve and exceed targets.
Integrity and Transparency:
Uphold the highest ethical standards in all aspects of retail operations.
Ensure transparency and accountability within the district, building trustful relationships with both customers and team members.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in retail management, with a successful track record in overseeing multiple stores.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

Resourceful problem solver with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.
Ability to analyze and interpret performance metrics to drive informed decision-making.
Education &
Experience:
