Employee Activities Job DescriptionAs our Security Manager, you will develop and lead the exceptional Security team who ensures the safety and well-being of our resort, our colleagues and our guestsYou will work closely with our Risk & Safety Manager as you oversee the resort's safety program, including but not limited to policy development and implementation, property-wide safety training, emergency procedures and risk management.
Salary Range:
$72,000 - $77,000What you will be doing:
Lead and coach the Security team to achieve exceptional levels of guest service and colleague satisfaction through the application and enforcement of all Corporate and property standards, programs and policies.
Be available for all emergency situations both on and off duty.
Develop/maintain, implement, communicate, train and be fully knowledgeable on all corporate, local or departmental SOPs, policies and programs related to Health & Safety and Security, including various response plans, Business Continuity Plans and crisis management with input from Risk & Safety Manager.
Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including documentation, inquiries, and retention.
Strengthen department cohesiveness through effective recruiting, training, feedback and accountability.
Educate all new colleagues on Health, Safety and Security at New Hire Orientation.
Guide and support leaders on Health, Safety and Security procedures and ensure they are providing a safe workplace for their colleagues.
Manage labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory Ensure all reported incidents are properly recorded, documented and maintained according to standards.
Investigate and follow up on reports made by guests or colleagues.
Assist with claims management.
Collaborate with Human Resources on investigations of any work place accidents, first aid program and the return to work program, maintaining compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Support Security's daily operations, including patrolling, conducting evictions, issuing trespass notices, investigating suspicious activities, and providing emergency and CPR/first aid assistance.
Liaise with government authorities, local law enforcement & community peers.
Assist Engineering with lock repairs and key management.
Conduct lock interrogations and audits to maintain and control all key card access and locks.
Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests.
Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Co-chair the resort's Health & Safety CommitteePromote and enforce health and safety awareness and emergency procedures.
QualificationsEducation High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training ' Bachelor's Degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management or related field is an asset Certifications in Security or Law Enforcement related fields is an asset Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in Facility/Workplace security Minimum of 2 years' experience in Security Management preferred Experience in Security Management in a resort atmosphere is an asset Licenses or Certificates State of Hawaii Guard Card Valid Drivers License and clean drivers abstract CPR/First Aid Certification Maui County Liquor Card Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) certification is an asset Fire safety certification is an asset FEMA training and certifications are an asset Additional InformationAll Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA)This Position does not offer sponsorship of Work VisasResumes submitted that cannot fulfill these requirements will not be considered.
